Industry, local government and environment groups have today called on Federal and state governments to take urgent action to divert electronic waste from landfill.
External Power supplies - Facts Sheet
DEWHA have finally uploaded a correct external power supply Fact Sheet to the energyrating.gov.au website. A copy is attached.
The fact sheet confirms that MEPS will still be applied from 1 December 2008 and that the efficiency marking requirements will not become mandatory until 1 April 2009. The requirements to have voltage qualifier markings, eg 230 or 115 next to the efficiency mark, have been removed from the mandatory marking.
